Airport Depot Mechanic

Reporting to the JUHI Airport Depot Manager, the potential candidate will be based at our airport depot in Plaisance, Grand Port.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance of the depot so that equipments are kept in good working conditions
• Ensure the correct and timely preventive maintenance of the depot facilities.
• Support contractors in special circumstances such as the handling of petroleum product under the supervision of the issuing authority
• Responsible for the repairs of specialised equipment such as pits, valves and couplings
• In charge of hydrant pit cleaning and repairs
• Perform inspection and maintenance of Filter Water Separator and Micro Filters
• Carry out inventories of spare parts, goods, equipment and keys
• Actively participate in the aviation tank cleaning (high risk operation)
• Assist in the unloading of Jet A-1 bowsers in compliance with JIG guidelines for offloading, as and when required
• Operate to the highest standards of safety in accordance with Total HSEQ rules and report any anomaly

 Requirements

• Certificate in Mechanics/ Welding/ Electric Installation/ Plumbing/ Metal Works or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years of proven repair & maintenance experience in the mechanical field
• Ability to perform maintenance duties utilizing basic hand tools
• Clean and valid private vehicle driving license
• Willing to work on a shift system
• Proven ability of being a good team player
