The Client is seeking to recruit an Accounts Clerk/Officer

 

Responsibilities:

Financial Administration
. Prepare payment/receipt vouchers, bank registers and bank reconciliations.
. Post accounting data to appropriate ledgers, cost & revenue centres using Microsoft NAV 2013 .
. Bookkeeping and safe keeping of financial records.
. Follow up on account receivables and payables.
. Systematic monthly follow up of Kindergarten fees.
. Assist in the overall monitoring of submission of finance deliverables by facilities.
. Maintain fixed assets register and /or inventory list up to date.
. Check requests for funds from the different facilities and programmes and their utilisation.
. Prepare cheques, disburses petty cash and record all payments in the appropriate register.
. Assist in preparation of and attend internal finance cordination meeting.
. Attend to facilities to provide accounting support including enforcement of procedures, budget monitoring and ensuring efficient and effective utilization of resources.
. Preparation of bank deposits and regular banking of cash and cheques.
. Verification of household allowance.
. Preparation of prepayments and accruals on a monthly basis.
. Assist team with internal audits & facility support visits.
. Training of non finance staff on finance tools and processes such as petty cash, requests for funds, keeping of finance records.

Administrative and Secretarial Work
. Perform secretarial and clerical work as and when required for smooth running of operations.
. Maintain a structured and systematic filing for all documentation and records.
. Draft and word process notes of meeting and other documents such as simple letters, memorandums
. Keep records and registers updated.
. Assist in the coordination and communication with other facilities.
. Give the necessary support and assistance in the organisation of meetings/workshops including training.
. Participate in fundraising activities

Profile:

. Minimum ACCA I with at least three year experience in a similar role
. Proficient in MS Office
. An experience in an accounting system would be an advantage
. Organised; Team player; Ability to meet deadlines; Good communicator
