Summary

Checkout.com is actively looking for a talented Accounts Assistant with a previous experience in management account and proven ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision.

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the production of regular monthly management accounts and the entry of financial data into the general ledger.  Another key element of this role will be the generation and analysis of underlying sales data to support on-going business decisions and any regular reporting packs that are produced.

This role is a great opportunity for an ambitious Finance Professional to join a dynamic and small Finance Team and gain a broad experience across the full finance function of an international business and to complete their professional studies (ACCA/CIMA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day general ledger entry
  • Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts including P&L account
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation and substantiation
  • Preparation of necessary accruals and prepayments schedules
  • Assisting with the production of year end statutory accounts and tax returns

Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years’ experience as an Accounts Assistant/Clerk in the Financial Services industry
  • Good understanding of debits/credits, double entry book keeping, accruals and prepayments
  • Highly IT literate with advanced Excel skills
  • Organised, analytical with good attention to detail, able to prioritise workload effectively
  • BSc in Accounting, Economics or Finance - ACCA/CIMA Student would be beneficial
  • Fluency in English
