A company, in the offshore sector based in Ebene, is urgently looking for an Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be required to assist in Treasury, financial and compliance tasks related to the company.
Main Responsibilities:
1) Treasury Functions / Cash Management
- Monitoring of bank balances on a daily basis
- Preparation of Cash Flow and Forecast as per Management and Treasury Requirements
- Revising Cash Flow Forecast with Actual figures and comparing with Budget
- Preparation of FOREX deals, spot, forward and swaps
- Preparation of adhoc Report as requested by Management and Group Treasurer
- To follow up on foreign payments and receipts from various entities
2) Management Accounts
- Assisting in the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts and Statutory Accounts inaccordance with accounting standards
- Performing Balance Recon
- Preparation of Monthly Management Report
3) Taxation
- Knowledge of taxation (DTA, WHT and underlying tax)
- Follow up on TDS, APS
4) Trading Schedules
- Reviewing of trading schedules
- Ensuring accuracy of figures and all logistics costs are included
5) Stock Management
- To have a good understanding of the stock process
- To supervise monthly stock close
- To perform stock reconciliation on a monthly basis and to report on slow moving items
6) Banking compliance
- Monitoring compliance (KYC), opening of bank accounts
- Good Understanding and Follow up on Trade Finance, LC’s, Bill of exchange,Guarantees, Facilities, Export collection, sweeping
- Maintain proper filing for banking documents and guarantees, agreements, etc.
7) General Compliance
- Compliance of company with regulators including queries from external parties.
- Ensure proper records and filing are kept at all times
8) Back up of Finance Team as and when required and any other adhoc duties asrequested by Management
Qualifications:
Fully ACCA qualified is essential
At least 5 years experience post qualification.
At least 3 years experience in the offshore sector
