Accountant

Myjob is recruiting for one of his client a senior clerk accountant with experience in Duty Free.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Entry/verification of all daily sales into our accounting system. Reporting to the company daily, weekly, monthly and YTD results and monthly/yearly comparison to previous years performances.
• Bank reconciliation: follow up on sales cashed in, payments received, payments sent, sales vs banking, general bank reconciliation. 
• Post monthly journal entries into the system
• Record supplier invoices, foreign and locals, and follow up on payment terms and timely payments.
• Monthly VAT, TDS, NPS, PAYE to be performed and returned accurately, as well as income tax returns.
• Follow up and reporting of daily bank situation and bank daily statement to be sent to the CEO
• Follow up on repayments of various loans, and import loans and management of overdrafts.
• Maintain the Trade Debtor reconciliation and control
• Preparing invoices for export
• Analysis of all the accounts of the company at date. Application of procedures and standards to follow so that we always meet and are on time with various returns to be done, as well as renewal of licenses etc..
• Verify and confirm system of sales control with sales manager, invoicing to third parties such as consignment partners etc..
• Manage and control foreign exchange accounts and weekly proposal of funds transfers between the various accounts of the company depending on the needs of the specific moment.
• Maintain Cash flow update. Study, analyze and forecast for the week, month, quarter and year
• Close monitoring of costs and make proposal aimed at reducing unnecessary or exaggerate expenses and costs.
• Monitoring of Duty Free stock reports, and Returns to MRA
• Monthly Management accounts P&L to be sent to CEO within the 7 of each following month. 
• Organization and planning with Audit controllers for Yearend controls and periodical controls 
• Balance sheet / Payroll / Budget

CANDIDATE PROFILE :
- ACCA level 3
- At least 5 years of experience at a similar post
- Fluent in french and english
- If possible have notion of Sicorax and Quickbook – Knowledge to deal with MRA Duty Free purposes
- Adopting a team spirit in line with the philosophy of the company
