Myjob is looking for a workshop supervisor with at least 3 years in the automative sector.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-To assist the Workshop Supervisor in the efficient running of the workshop.

-To plan, organize and control the work of the employees under his responsibility.

-To supervise the efficient maintenance and repairs of the vehicles and components with minimum downtime.

-To see that performance early shift mechanics for pre-trip inspection team so that maximum number of vehicles are put on road during peak hours with Zero lateness.

-To ensure that :

a)      Materials used are as per specifications.

b)      Spare parts requisitioned from stores are fitted on the vehicles and old ones are returned to the stores and included in Navision software.

c)      Employee’s under his supervision work on a safe environment and complies with safety regulations.

d)      Tools and equipment are properly maintained.

e)      Times taken for repairs are reasonable &properly recorded in job card on a daily basis along with the Labour Distribution Register.

f)       Fuel, oil & air leakage, premature wear at parts, tyres are attended to in time with corrective action.

g)      Records of aggregates, major overhaul , tyres etc are maintained.

h)      Life cycle of components are recorded and monitored.

i)        Road call breakdown is scrutinized and corrective measures taken to Zero same.

-To see that Preventive Maintenance / Servicing / Road Test repairs on schedules or as when directed.

-Is responsible for housekeeping.

-To perform cognate duties as directed by the Workshop Manager.

 CANDIDATE PROFILE :

-At least a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

-Registration as Engineer.

-At least 3 years experience in the field of automotive engineering.

-Keeps abreast of most recent technical information and fault finding methods.
